THE SHEARERS' DISPUTE.

Sir, —Kindly allow me a brief space once more to reply to "Observer" and "Komatina," re their replies to my first letter. "Observei" has to go to Australia to get figures that will meet his purpose, but as we all luow his Australian brother spends an undue time between sheds in the pursuit ot blue devils (a game 'the New Zealand shearer also knows a liltla about;, "Observer's 1 ' figures are worthless. He says it is strange that I wish to prevant the shearers getting a fair rate of pay for the work they do. The figures I sligw in my second letter will prove to ar.y disinterested person that a fair rate would be something below what they are getting now. Now, my humorous Maurgapakeha friend, "Komalina " so you will stay at home if you don't get your j pound a hundred! Very well, do bp, ! and busy yourself getting in plenty I of fern root, tuna, dried ahark, and j other Maori delicacies in case you gi t your union cancelled and meet with

a bad winter. As for me, I can shear all my sheep if it becomes necessary, but, unlike you, I will not make the missus roll up the fleeces and rut off the utiwai. Hoping you may not find yourself komati instead of "Komatina," and thanking you, Sir, for space.—l am, etc., BUSH.
