«■ "(Received August 12, 10 a.m. CAPETOWN, August 11. South Africa will send a cricket team to Australia. Mr Abe Bailey and the Transvaal Cricket Union are the principal guarantors of the £SOOO guarantee.
(Received Last Night, 8.40 p.m. SYDNEY, August 12. The Australian Board of Control Iras received the following cable from the South African Cricket Association: "Guarantee arranged here. Will send team in terms of your letters of February and June." The letters referred to offered half the gate receipts to the South Africans.
A LARGE SCORE. (Received Last Night, 11.15 p.m.) LONDON, August 12. In the first class Counties competition Kent made 606 for 6 wickets againsi Glbustershire for Ave hours play. Mason, 121 not out, and Humphreys, 162, were the highest scorers for Kent.
