CLASHING OF DATES.

It is a very great pity, for all roncerned, that the Masterton Racing Club should find it necessary to resort to dates for its Summer Meeting which clash with those of the Wairarapa P. and A. Society. A large number of the patrons of one institution would like to be the patrons of the other, and the clashing of dates will inevitably affect the attendance at both gatherings. Is it too late to ask that a conference of the officials of the two bodies be held, with a view to arriving at a compromise?
