LADIES' HOCKEY REPRESENTATIVES.

To the % Editor. Sir,—ln reply to Mr Iveson's of yesterday. He says "Perhaps Interested had longing eyes on a position on the Committee himself or perhaps he is a person who has l been on a previous Committee." I may state that I would not trouble to reply but for the fact that he is trying to fix the authorship of my first letter on a certain ladiea' coach., In his own mind he doesn't quite know what to think, so has had two digs at it. I wish to tell him he has missed in both cases. He says must be interested in a cer tain Club, and that I have merely guessed at the merits of. the team. I would like to know how many games outside of Maaterton have been|witnessed by Mr Iveson. . Very few. The selectors are made up of two referees and one player. These gentle men have not been able to witness the games to the extent that a spec-' tator could, ard I submit that no re] feree can study the merit? or demerits of players while controlling a ' game. Your , corresponent remarks that i must be interested in a club. Well, anyone knowing Mr Iveson will know that he,, at any rate, is interes- { ted in a club. However, as Mr Iveson is quite satisfied in his own mind that the beat team has been selected, and

won't give anyone else a chance in at least ope practice, it's very little use continuing. By the way he"a!so says that some of my "chosen" are unable to make tho trip. |I happen to know that some of them could not go, but that should not debar them from taking part in the practice matches in the B team. Mr Iveson*says' that 51 should come to light and sfgn my own name. I may do that in guod time, but'for the pre-, sent, I am, still, "INTERESTED."*
