EDUCATION BOARD ELECTION.

The re-election of Messrs Robert Lee and W. H. Field, M.P., to the Wei- I lington Education Board may be construed by many as an indication that School Committees will have nothing to do with candidates who favour Bible instruction in schools. This is hardly a correct interpretation to place upon the result of the election. Apart from the question of personality and faithful service, which strongly favoured the retiring candidates the opinion is entertained Iby a greaf many school committeemen that the responsibility for admitting the Bible to schools should rest with Parliament, and not with j Education Boards.
