DISMISSAL OF A MOULDER.
A RESULT.
Received August 8, 10.5 a.m., ADELAIDE, August 8. Three hundred foundry and workshop employees of Simpson and Compai y struck over the dismissal of "a j moulder who asked for higher wages. FAMINE NOT FEARED. LARGE SUPPLIES OF FROZEN MEAT AVAILABLE. Received August 8, 11 a.m. SYDNEY, Augusts; The slaughtermen Rave notice that they did not intend to resume to-day. This does not constitute a strike under the Act. as the agreement stipulates for a moment's notice on either side.
A famine is not anticipated. It is stated that there are large supplies of frozen meat available, and that country slaughterhouses will be able to supply a certain quantity.
