RAILWAY STRIKE.
GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION. SATISFACTORY TERMINATION. Received August 4, 10 a.m. OTTAWA, August 3. The Government's intervention ended the Grand Trunk railway strike. The company takes on again the men who have not been guilty of J viulence. Standardized wages will come into operation in January. 1911. This is a compromise between the men's demand for an immediate rising of wages to the Canadian Pacific level and the company's standardized offer for 1913.
