The Sun has received the following cable from the South African Cricket Association :—"The Association fuli ly appreciates your offer of a guar- | yntee in connection with a visit to Australia of the South African team, but much regrets it can only negotiate with the Board of Control." The Sun has determined to make another elfort, and has written to the Board of Control asking if the Board will advise South Africa that it has no objection to the Sun's guarantee being accepted.
