SHOW WEEK IN MASTERTON.
SCARCITY OF ACCOMMODATION.
Reference has been frequently made by visitors to jjjMasterton at Show time as to the lack ot accommodation in the town, and at the annual meeting of thy Masterton A. and P. Association on baturday last, Mr W. Perry, the newlj-eleeted President, of the Association, referred to the matter. "Before we can hope to'get, the attendance at our 3how that we desirs," said Mr Perry, "we must have the accommodation necessary for them." A voice—"Get license back then." "In Masterton," continued Mr Perry, "it would appear that suit- i able accommodation is not available. I see no reason why this should be. At Palmerston North there is never any trouble over securing board and lodging during Show week ther and look at the great crowds that j flock to that town. What can be f done at Palmerston North, can be done in Masterton, and if the townspeople will find the accommodation the members of the Association will guarantee to find visitors to fill it. The influx of visitors would, from a business point of view, greatly benefit the town.
