CREW AND PASSENGERS RESCUED.

Received July 25, 10 a.m. NEW YORK, July 24. When the Southern Pacific Company's steel screw steamer Momus, of 6878 tons gross, was off the coast of Florida, on a voyage from New York to New Orleans, a fire broke out on her. The crew had a desperate encounter with the flames, the fight lasting all night. Then [wireless communication wi'6 the Comus, another vessel belonging to the Southern Pacific Company, was established, and the l&at named vessel came to ti-e asststarce cf the Momus. All on board the Momus—B3 passengers and a crew of 125—were rescued. ,
