MEETING IN .HYDE PARK

Suffragettes, speaking from forty platforms in Hyde Park, demanded the facilities provided for in the Woman's Suffrage Bill introduced in ihe House of Commons list month bv Mr D. J. Shackleton, Labour member for Clitheroe, North-West Lancashire.

METEGEOLOGICAL. WEATHER FORECAST. tsY i'elegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, July 25. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are:—The barometer was lowest in the far north on Saturday afternoon, but rose ftcadily afterwards with heavy rain and cold southerly winds. The barometer has, however, fallen since then in the suuth, and very wintry weather hag been expeiienced in the South Island. Present indications are for a further rise, but slowly, in the north, and the barometer has a falling tendency in the south. Moderate to strong southerly winds Will probably prevail northward of New Plymouth and Napier, and strong westerly winds elsewhere. Damp and cold "vea'ther is probable generally.

Mr J. C. Boddingto.i reports that he rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Snnday, wai 24 points, and on Monday 5 points. Eleven degrees of frost were registered yesterday morning.
