AN EASY WIN. By Telegraph—Press Association. AUCKLAND, July 20. £ The first match of the British Northern Union Rugby football team was played here to-i-ty against the New Zealand Maori team, in drenching ram, and on a ground that was practically under water. The showing of the English men in these adverse conditions was so good that further matches are being eagerly anticipated, iiuie was an attendance to-day of over 5000.
