LONDON MAKKEIS. ■ Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report having received the following cable advices from tneir London House under date of the 13th instant: —Wool Saleii: Attendance of buyers generally is large and competition animated. The clips offered so far are mostly crossbreds. Since last wire Merinos and fine crossbred wools, greasy, change if any, is in buyers favour. Merino and fine crossbred wools, pcoured, par to 5 per cent lower. (Jrossored wool,.medium and coarse quality, greasy, par to 5 per cent lower. Slipe wools, coarse crossbred, 5 per ceht to 7& per cent lower.
The New Zealand Loan snd Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd.. have received the followiue; cablegram from their London house under date 12ch inst. —"There was a good attendance at the opening of the sales to-day, competition by Home and Continental buyers being active. The opening catalogues were fairly representative. As compared with last sales closing rates, prices are about the same for fine crossbred and Merino, and abnut par to 5 per cent, lower for medium grea3y crossbred and crossbred slips. Amtrica is not operating.
MASTERTON WOOL AND SKIN &ALES. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-oper-ative Association. Ltd. and Messrs Daleety and Co. report as follows We held our monthly snle of wool sheepskins and hides on Wednesday vwhen we offered 40 bales of woo', 100 bags of wool, 1200 sheepskins and 100 hides and calfskins. There was the usual attendance of buyers, who operated freely throuehout the catalogue, everything being sold at present market values. Wool—.Crutchings were slightly easier, but bright clean lots compared favourably with prices ruling at cur last sale, realising as high as 6£d per lb. Crutchings, 5Jd to 6£d; crutchings, seedy, 4Jd to 4gd; fleece, s|d to 7Jd; pieces, 4£d to 6d; locks, dead, 6Jd; dead, inferior, 2d. | Skins.-Prices were slightly lower than our previous sale, on account of the Home market being somewhat easier. Crossbred, 6d; half wools, 6£d;, half wools, broken, s|d; half wools, seedy, 6d; quarter wools, G|d; quarter wools, seedy, 4|d; quarter wools, damp and broken, each la 7d; shortr, 2d to shorts, seedy, 2£d; double deckers. 4|cl; lambs, 5d to 6|d; iambs, shorn, 3£d; dead, damp, 3s. Hides.—Sold at fuil market values. Calfskins realising as much as 9d per ib and horse hides 9s, Ox, 4id to 4gd; ox, slippy, 4d to 4§d; cow, 4Ad tosd: bull, 3d,; cow, slippy, 3§d to 3|d; yearlings, slippy, 3£d; ox, horse hides, 7s to 9s each; calf, 8d to 9d; calf, cut, 6&d; calf, slippy, 3|d.
