Mr J. C. Boddington reports that (he rainfall registered at the Upper Plain f.ir the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Thursday was 66 points. WEATHER FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. x WELLINGTON, July 14. The Rev. D. C, Bates' summary and forecast are:— The barometer rose slightly in the North during Wednesday night, and the winds were generally moderate and variable. Kain has iallen in many parts, and especially on the East Coast of the North Island, Present indications are for cloudy and unsettled weather, and rain probable generally, with a further fall in the barometer, which is likely to continue low, and unsteady until about Monday evening, when a southerly may be expected.
