MASTERTON WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE

Messrs Levin and Co., Ltd,, report:—We held our monthly sale of wool, skins, hides, etc , yesterday, when we offered 80 bales, 100 bags of wool, 2,000 sheepskins, 100 hides and calfskin&, and a quantity of rabbitskins, hersehair and tallow. There was a good attendance of buyers, but prices in sympathy with advices from London showed a decline of about a halfpenny per lb on wool and sheepskins. We quote:—Wool. Crossbred, o£d to 7d; dead. s|d to 7£d: crutchings good, s£d to 6d; crutchings medium and seedy, 4d to locks, 3Jd to 4d; black, 5d to 6£d. Sheepskins.—Fine crossbred 7fd; crossbred GJd to 7d; half wools, 4£d to 6Jd; quarter wools, 4d to 6d; shorts, 3fd; pells, 2h6; dead, s£dto6£d; lambs, 7£d; hoggets, s£d to 6£d; lambs green to 3s 4d; crossbred damp, 3s 8d to 4s lOd; green dead, 3s lOd; rabbitskins, Bfd to Is Id; horsehair. Is 4Jd. Tallow.—Casks, 25s 6d; tins and drums, 19s 3d to 21s 9d. JOHNSONVILLE STOCK SALE.

By Telegraph—Special t.) the Age. JOHNSONVILLE. July 13. Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—We offertd a heavy yarding of prime bullocks and sheep, which sold at late quotations. Prime heavy bullocks, £lO to £lO 2* 6d; medium bullocks, £y to £9 10s; light, £8 12s6d; heavy veslers, £2 18s 6d to £3; light, £1 to 255; good wethers, 13s 9d ;. prime heavy ewes, 18s 6d to 19s; medium ewes, 15s Id to 15s 6d; woolly lambs, 12s 3d to 13s 9.d; shorn, lis.

MASTERTON STOCK SALE.

Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual fortnightly sale in the Waipoua yards at Masteiton yesterday, when they offereda good yarding of both cattle and sheep, which came forward well above advertised numbers. Unfortunately, the rough weather interfered a great deal with the attendance of buyers, but competition waß keen, and a total clearance of all sheep yarded was effected. The cattle yarded were not of the class that are usually bid for in these yards, therefore sales were rather slack; however the best part of the yardine changed hands well up to market rates. Quotations:—Fat ewes up to 14s; fat wethers, to 16s 2d; forward wethers, 14s 8d; f.m. ewes in lamb, lis 6d; poorer sorts, 5a 7d to sslod; 2tooth ewes in lamb to English Leicester rams, 14b lOd; 2 year old steers. £3" 17s 6d; store cows, £2 10s to £3 3s; [empty heifers. £3 13s; springing cowp. £5 2s 6d to £5 lie.
