Received July 11, 9 10 a.m. ROME, July 10. Mount Vesuvius is in eruption. Ashes are falling on the villages of San Guisepe acd Ottajano. A CONTRADICTION. Received July 11, 10.30 p.m. ROME, July 11. Vesuvius is not in eruption. It is merely the result of electric storms and gales, which are disturbing the old ashes.
