COMMERCIAL.
EKETAHUNA STOCK REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., report at their fortnightly stock sale at Eketahuna, that, despite the rough weather prevailing, we offered a good catalogue of sheep of ail classes, which met with an improved market, enabling us to quit the whole list under the hammer. In cattle the entries were mostly confined to dairy stock, and the quality being good, they effected a clearance at sound rates. In ewes in iamb, they sold en acccunt of Messrs Kebbell Bros., of Alfredton, a line of 4, 6 and'B-tooth ewes in lamb, which reached the top price for this district, viz.. 36s 6d, and other vendors:—Two-tooth ewes in lamb, 13s 6d; aged ewes, 9s to 10s; empty ewes, 8s lOd; culled ewes, 4s 9ci; medium hoggets, 8s to 93 6d. Cattlr.—Dairy heifers, £4 4a to £5 ss; dairy cows, aged £4; empty cows, £2 le; heifer calves, 375.
