COMMONWEALTH PRIZE. FAIK NUMBER OP ENTRIES. United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph Copyright, Received July 4. 10 a.m. MELBOURNE, July 4. Of the entries for the Commonwealth aeroplane prize, Victoria contributed 13, New South Wales 11, and South Australia and Western Australia one each. There were six from England, but these were ineligible. The remaining entry was from a place unknown. The trials are to be held next month. The prize is £5,000, and one of the conditions is that the machines must be locally manufactured. AN AVIATOR KILLED. Received July 4, 12.30 p.m. PARIS, July 3. The Rheims aviation meeting is being held in rainy, windy, weather. Herr Wachter covered sixty miles on a framework Antionette, which, ap- \ parently, suddenly collapsed. The j aviator fell headlong to the earth j from a height of 200 metres, and I was killed instantly. His mother | and sister witnessed the accident. I
