SERIOUS FIRE.
ELECTRICAL PLANT DESTROYED.

A fire occurred at the Burnsids Ue ! ment Works early this morning. It is surmised that the outbreak was caused by the motor over-running itseli. Considerable damage was done. The cement stock is estimated at between £3,00 and £4,000. Some very valuable electrical plant and motors were destroyed. The insurances are:— building, £2,750; on machinery, £6,750; on stock, £1,400, on electrical motors and electrical installation, £1,000; total, £12,000 —all in the Guardian office.
