PRAISE FROM THE GOVERNOR.
Colonel A. W. Chief ot tha received from Captain E. Crichton-Maitland, A.D.C., to His Governor, the following letter in reference to the officers and men of the R N.Z.A. who assisted at ~the functions at Parliament House—"Dear Sir, —I am Excellency the Governor to express to you his appreciation of the services rendered by the troops supplied by you opening of Parliament, and at the levee yesterday, June 28th." Colonel Robin, in a memorandum 1 on the same subject, Bays—" I was personally much pleased with the appearance and steadiness of tha escort and guard under the very wet conditions of the day." i Tfte Prima Minister, Sir Joseph Ward, has wrirten to Colonel Robin as follows—"I desire to express my appreciation of the military arrangements on the occasion uf the arrival of Bis Governor, and shall be glad if you will so advise the officers and men concerned."
