MASTERTON RACING CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the fotewards of the Masterton Racirg Club was held on Saturday afternoon. There were present: Messrs G F. Vallano.e, chairman, A. G. Pilmer, A. Donald, W, Cooper. R. Buick, J. Cress, D. McLachlan, F. E. Dorset, D. Oaselberg, 0. Cooper, and J. Iruns. The minutes of the previous meeting were read with the exception of the resolution referring ti t':ie abolition of complementary ticket', which wag resolved not to be acted upon until after the meeting of the Wellington delegate. The applications for trainers and juckey's licenses were left to the committee to decide.
It was resolved t) hold the general meeting of members on Thursday, Ji:ly 28i;b, at 2 30 p m. in Murray's Hall.
In the matier of arrears the Secretary was instructed to give the owners final notice that unless payments were made within 14 days fiorses would be placed on the forfeit list.
The question cf extra accommodation at the coarse in the, way of boxes was brought up and left for tha fresh stewards to decide upun. The met ting resolved to forward a recommendation to tbe Cnnfereme to be held at Wellington to form a deputation ti wait on the Government ard paint out the injury that the new unrtax ia doing ti the small clubs. The treasurer repoitcl a dr. bal ance at Jme 30th of £3BO 14a 9J.
It was decided to forward a letter of condolence to tha family of the late Mr J. Payton.
