Thfre are 550 sporting writers, physical experts, war correspondents, and cartoonists assembled at Reno, also an extraordinary gathering of past and present boxing champions. Thirty special trains have been arranged from San Francisco, and it is estimated there will be 50,000 people in Reno on Monday. Messrs Schwab and McKenzie, of the Canadian Northern Railway, are also bringing large parties. Reuter's correspondent at Reno saysJeffrns is trained to concert pitch, and it is oi.ly necessary to prtvent him going stale. Many of his admirers believe him to be more formidable than when he was champion. (Jthers, however, admit the possibility of removing outside fat. but think there is always an accumulation of fat upon the heart, and lungs, which mieht be fatal to the retired champion's success.
