LONDON MARKETS,

The New Zealand Lnan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from their London House;— '•Wheat: Sold at 32s 4id c.i.f, large Australian cargo. Market firm, but inactive. Position owing to unfavourable crop reports. Market prospects America not likely to improve at present. Oats? Gartons, 17s 6d; Sparrowbills, 16s 6d. Market qjiet but. steady. Messrs Daigely and Company, Limited, report having received the fonllowing cable advice from their London House under date of the 24th instant:—Frozen mutton.—Demand is slow, prices being unchanged. Lamb.—There is an active demand and prices are firm. Beef.— Fair demand, pirces being a farthing higher since our last advices. Tallow.—Fair demand at auction, prices since last advices being 6d lower.
