The New Zealand Parliament will be opened this afternoon by Lord Islington the New Governor. The proceedings at the opening will be somewhat different fturn those that usually prevail Owing to th e death of the late Kin?, members will have to take the catb, and tor that purpose both Houses will meet at 2.30 this afternoon, and at 8.30 reassemble for the purpose of hearing His Excellency the Governor reed the Speech from the Throne. The Territorial Forces will not be called upon to attend on this occasion, as the Permanent Forces will supply both the guard of bono r and the escort.
