SIR C. FURNES3 RETURNED. LONDON, June 21. The by-3lecthn for the Hartlepool seat has resulted in the re-election of Sir Christopher Furness, the wellknown shipowner, by a reduced majority. Sir Christopher was recently unseated in consequence of excessive expenditure by his agenta. The candidate himself, however, had not been guilty of corrupt or improper practices. The poll resulted: Sir C. Furness, Liberal 6,159 Mr W. H. G. Grit ten, Conservative 5,993 Liberal Majority 166
