METEOROLOGICAL.
WEATHER FORECAST. By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 21, The following is the Rev. JD. G. Bates' summary and weather forecast: — ! The barometer has fallen nearly a third of an inch in the southern districts, has made little movement further north. Moderate and variable winds have prevailed, and fine weather, except about East Cape. Present indications are for freshening northerly winds, increasing cloudiness, and a change in the weather shortly southward of New Plymouth and Napier,with a falling barometer. Moderate easterly winds will probably prevail elsewhere, with fair weather, and a slowly falling,barometer.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall registered at the Upper Plain for the 24 hovrs preceding 9 a.m. on Tuesday was 4 points.
