MASTERTON NAVY LEAGUE

The following letter has been received from the Premier by Mr E. R. B. Daniel, Secretary of the Masterton Branch oi the Empire N ivy League:— "Sir,—l have thehoncur to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 31st May, with which you forwarded copy of resolution psssed at the annual meeting of your Branch urging that the Government should assist the Navy League by purchasing lanterns and slides for use as desired by the Branches of the League throughout thegDominion. In reply, I have to inform you that the representations urged in support of the resolution have been noted, and I thank you for communicating the same to me. The matter will receive the consideration of the Government. —I have the honour, etc., J. G Ward,"
