WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON, June 20. The Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast me— : High barometric pressure now prevails, and moderate southerly winds have succeeded the cold and stormy conditions previously experienced. Present indications are for fair weather generally, and winds moderate to strong south-easterly in the Far North, and southerly thenre to Kaikoura and Hokitiica, and for westerly elsewhere. The barometer will probably fail plowiy in the South for a wssterly area of low pressure, due on Wednesday next.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that the rainfall legistered at the Upper Plain for the 21 hours preceding 9 a.m.on Sunday was 58 points, au3 for tie 24 hours pereceding 9 a.m. en Monday was 3 9 point 3. The total rainfal" since Wednesday last till 9 a.m. yesterday was 2,67 inches, and for the month up to the 20th inst. 3.33 inches.
