WEATHER FORECAST.
By Telegraph—Press Association. WELLINGTON June 17. The Ke\. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast are:—Southerly wicdß, cloudy to a heavy gale in parts, have been experianced with wintry weather Snow has fallen in many parts o. islands. The barometer haß risen half an inch at the Bluff, £■* but has fallen slightly about East IQf Cape. Present indications are for a rising barometer everywhere, with cold and showery weather. Southerly winds, strong to gale, are probable everywhere, seas hsavy on all the western coast, and between East C ape and Jbar.ks Peninsula.
Mr J. C. Boddington reports that th 1 rainfall registered at, the Opper r. Plain for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m. on Friday was 49 points.
