MASTERTON A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the General Committee of the Masterton Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held on Saturday afternoon, Mr G. C. Summerell presiding over n good attendance of members. The Secretary of the New Zealand Ayrshire Cattle Herd Book Associa lion forwarded a list of Ayrshire cattle judges selected by the Association, and asked the Masterton AsoOciation to select their judges from the list supplied. It was decided to give the matter attention when the Masterton Association are arranging their judges.' The Secretary of the Wellington Racing Club wrote as follows:—"I have pleasure in informing you that my committee have decided to grant your Society £2O which they stipulate shall be given to supplement prizes for events calculated to encourage the breeding of horses, such events not to be confined to thoroughbreds. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded to the Wellington Racing Club. The Secretary of the Wanganui A. ant" P. Association notified that November 16th and 17th had been decided upon as the dates tor their next show. The resigrations of Messrs F. S. Hood, Upper Plain, and L. V. Russell, Pahiatua were accepted with regret. Mr W. G. Butcher, was elected a member of the Association.
