Mrs Thompson, while suffering from dementia, took her three children for a walk. Rearlyng a dam, she threw one child into the water, after attaching a large stone to its dress.. The child managed to get out. The mother then seized another child, aged five years, and held ic under the water. The two others ran away. When they returned with assistance, the dead bodies of tbe mother and child were found in the dam.
