A POPULAR TEACHER.
In returning thanks to the members of the Masterton Sclirol Committee fcr their generous appreciation in the form of a very hearty letter, of his twenty-nne years' service as headmaster of the Masterton School, Mr W. H Jackson says: "Strenuous as my work] has been, during the long period named, :t has been made pleasant by the hearty co-operation of tha one and twenty committees I have been associated with. Next to the continued prosperity of my school, my earnest desire-l?,-that I may retain tho hearty goodwill and co-operation of my committees, as representing the pare-its of my scholars, and this I shall endeavour to deserve and secure, as long as 1 remain the headmaster of the Masterton School."
