TOWN HALL PICTURES. OPENING ENTERTAINMENT. The Mast?rton Town Hall was packed from floor to ceiling last evening, for the opening picture entertainment given by Messrs Hay ward, Clark and Vile. Before eight o'clock it was impossible to accommodate another per- j son m the si alls and~pttr and the j circle was rapidly beir.g taxed to j the utmo3t. The programme submit- j ted went with a swing from start to , finish, and every film was loudly ap- ; plauded. The vivid description of Red i Indian life waa well received, and j the Cassera Park was acknowledged j as a very fine scenic picture. The film pdurtraying the German National Zoo was pronounced 10 be one of the finest ever witne 7 Fed by a Master ton aurlienc?. The Boy Scout Picture naturally appealed to the juvenile portion of the audience. The great military drama "In the NicK of Time," was a revelation.in cinematograph work, and was loudly applauded, as were also the whole of the comic films. Some of the latter | were exceedingly humorous, and j provided many hearty laughs among | the audience. The programme, which j is admittedly an exceptionally good I one, and full of interest, will be repeated to-night. Mr T. Inns, who . has been permanently engaged as musician for the season gave every satisfaction with appropriate music In an interval in the programme, Mr A. H. Vile thanked the audience for their splendid patronage, and promised that future entertainments would be still more attractive.
