Mr F. W. Jones, who for a number of years ha" been employed at Te Parae, iesves by the steamer Ulimaroa to-morrow for Australia, where he * will remain several months. The death of Mr Thos. Russell, of Russell and Somers, of Auckland, agents in that city It the P. and O. Company ia announced. For a number of yearn he acted as Italian Consul at Auckland. An old identity in the person of the late Mr Georpo Richards was buried at Karori, Wellington. The late Mr Richards, who was a native r.f Newport, Pembrokeshire, South Wales, came to the colony in 1868, and had resided in Wellington ever sir.ee.
