CORONATION MEDAL. MASTERTON LADY COMES THIRD. By Telegraph—Press Association. PALMKRSTON N., June L Th? npult erf the Coronation Medal Competition by the Ladies Golf Clubs throughout New Zealand on Friday last, are now to hand. The results are as follows: — Mrs Winterbourne (Otaki), 1; Mrs Bevan (Otaki), '2; Miss G. Booth (Masterton), 3; Miss Gray (Miramar), 4; and Mrs R. J. Gilmour llnvercargiil), 5. The winner, a Club mate of the Mew Zealand champion, beat Mrs Besan by one stroke without the handicap. Tne weather was variable. Several Clubs were unable to play. There were 120 players represented and nineteen Clubs actually took pait.
The following is the result of the match plajed between the ladies of the Maßterton Golf Club and the ladies of the Wellington Club, at Wellington yesterday, the names of the Masterton team being mentioned first in,each case. The visitors were in good form, and only lost one game:—Mrs Guy Williams, beat Miss Pearce, Miss J. Kobieson beat Mrs Bidwill, Miss E. Robieson and Miss Collins, all/square, Mrs Holmes ,lost to Miss Brandon, Mrs Booth beat Mrs Turnbull, Miss K. Booth beat Miss Simpson.
