FEATHERSTON LIGHTING.

FEATHERSTON, May 30. , A meeting of ratepayers was held ■in the Town Hall to consider the 'Town Beard's proposal to raise a 3oan of £4OO for the-purpose of installing acetylene gas lamps for street lighting. The intentions of the Board were fully outlined by Mr J. W. Card, chairman, and the meeting unanimously decided to have a poll of the ratepayers taken on the matter.
