MONEY FOR EDUCATION.
ADDRESS BY MR ALLEN. M.P By Telegraph—Press Association. DUNEDIN, May 30. Speaking on the education question at Kailangata on Saturday night, Mr .James Allen. M.P.. expressed the opinion that the capitation grant hi ninepeuce to school committees ought to be maintained and the grant given to school, libraries. It was not a great, deal to ask parents to provide their dulrfren with school bocks. Sufficient was not being, got for the large amount spent on education. The organisation of technical instruction was weak, and he was not sure that we were getting the best out of the ordinary school education.
