The Nicaraguan troops, under General Lara, made a desperate assault en the positions occupied by the Provisional Government's Army, (under General Estrada who, in October iast, assumed the provisional presidency ofthe Atlantic Coast States), entrenched at Bluefields. General Lara's forces were repuls- ( ed, losing 250 killed and wounded. American marines are hurrying to Bluefielda to enforce order. Fighting will then be forbidden within the city.
