AUTHORITIES WAKING UP
PAMPHLET CONFISCATED. EX-M.P. IN TROUBLE. __ • Received May 30, 9 a.m. LONDON, May 29. The authorities of Eastern Bengal have confiscated a pamphlet published by Mr F. C. Mackarness, ex-iVJ.P. for Newbury, Berkshire, in which accusations were made against a section of the Indian police. The charges include corruption and torturing of prisoners. Mr Mackarnesa states that his accusations are based on the 1903 report of Lord Curzon, then Viceroy of India,
