GLADSTONE v. GREYTOWN.
Played at Gladstone an won by Gladstone by 9 yointa to nil. Neither Club had tbe best team present, but Gladstone easily held their own, and things never really looked dangerous for the yellow and blacks. Gladstone were the first to score, their clever half, Tory Ratima, getting over near the corner flag. The kick failed. Several shots at goal were made by both sides, Sexton of Gladstone being the only one to pilot the ball between the posts. Play was very fast in the second spell, and just before the game ended A. Hidge scored for Grey to wo, but failed to add the extra points, tha game thus ending with Gladst3ne as tbe victors.
JUNIOR MATCHES.
MASTERTON v. WERAITI. Played at Masterton and won by Masterton by 18 points to nil. Simonson, Bannister. Donald, Biilington and Johns scored tries, and Bannister also kicked the penalty. RED SIAR v. DALEFJuLD. Played at Dalefield and won by Dalefield by 16 points to nil. The game was even in the first spell, but in the second the Dalefield forwards were superior to the Star backs. Whelch, Abbott, Gallon and Fczska crossed the Star Una and August kicked a penalty. CARTERTON v. LOWER VALLEY. Played at Carterton and won by Carterton by 18 points to 3. Reed 2, Phelps, Bayley, Thomas and Offsoski scored for Carterton and Sullivan for Lower Valley. GKEYTOWN v. LIBERALS. Played at Greytosvn and won by the Liberals by 18 points to nil. The score was made up of three converted tries and a penalty goal.
THIRD CLASS GAMES. RED STAR v. CARTERTON. Played at Carterton and woti by Red Star by six points to nil. Tho winners are leading at tha close of (he first round of the 3rd class championship, not yet suffered defeat so far. J, Ewington scored a try, and E. Wick-
