Received May 28, 10 a.m. LONDON, May 29 At Newmarket, a small town in the County of Cork, there has been fierce fighting between supporters of Mr William O'Brien (leader of the Independent Irish Parliamentary Party) and supporters of the Nationalist (Redmondite) Party. The police were powerless to stop the disturbances, and a number of houses were wrecked. Finally, ihe police fired on the crowds, a man being shot dead during the fusilade.
