Tr>e New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, have received the following cablegram from thsir London office:— Tallow.—We quote piesent spot values for the following descriptions: Good mutton, 36s 6d per cwt; good beef, 35s 9d per cwt; mixed, 34s per cwt. Market quiet.
SALE OF DAIRY HERD,
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held a very successful dairy sale on account of Mr E. H. Rasmus sm. The cows were in good order, but bidding at auction dragged very much. The herd made tie good average of 356 6s, which must be considered very satisfactory. Cows ranged in price from £5 7s 6d to £7 12s 6d. Bull £ls. Implements made good vaiye.
