HOMING PIGEON CLUB.
The Championship Interval Race for Mr fveriboma's Cup was flown from Blenheim yesterday, with the follow ing results: — Ist-W. Hoar's Ked Check hen, "Red Ribbon"- Time, 3iirs 57rain 15sec. Tl*e winner was bred by the owner from a pair-of birds obtained from Mr J. Hurle, of New Plymouth. Red Ribbon also flew second in the Petone, second in Wellington Interval and also second in the Derby. 2nd—J. Dixon's Blue Check hen, "Lady Lucy." Time, 4hrs 45min 38sec. Full sister to Timoty, who won the 450 miles Dunedin race. 3rd—J. Syverston's Silver hen, "Little Mary." Time, shrs 43miD. First in Derby from Blenheim in 2 hrs 40mm. Considering the stormy weather the performance of Mr Hoar's "Ked Ribbon" ia certainly meritorious. The three placed birds were the only ones out of twelve lofts which "clocked in." The birdd were to have been liberated from Blenheim on Saturday, but on account of the thick weather in the Straits, Mr Sowman, win kindly acted as liberator, thought it inadvisable to fly the birds on that day.
