CO-OPERATIVE FREEZING COMPANY.

At a meeting of the Palmerston North>ranch of the Farmers' Union, Mr J, Balsillie referred to the proposal to establish a freezing company or. co-operative lines. Several prominent farmers had met and discussed the question, and it had been decided to ask the various branches of the union in the Manawatu.and Rangitikei districts to discuss the proposal and to send delegates to a general meeting of representatives to be held at Palmerston North on June Ist, when the proposals will tie fully gone into. A motion to suppoit the proposal' was carried. Mr Bal6il>ie added that if the work was carried out cold storage would be provided for dairy products, and the bacon industry could be worked in connection with the company for export trade.
