LABOR PARTY ASK FOR THEIR RELEASE.

A deputation of the State Labour members to-day waited on the Solici-tor-General ar>d presented a petition in favour ot the release of the coal strike leaders, oh the grounds that industrial peace having been restored the public peace would not be jeopardised by their release. Also the prisoners were men of good character, whose offences were committed as representatives of their organisa-' tions.;.;
The Solicitor-General promised to give consideration to the request.
