LAND SLIDE.

IN TARANAKI DISTRICT. By Telegraph— Press Association. ELTHAM, Mav 5. Intimation was received here this afternoon, of a serious accident at Omoana, one of Taranaki's timber cutting settlements. Details are meagre, but it seems that a man named "Baby" Wilson was covered by a land slide, and in an endeavour to effect a rescue two other inen named Morris and Collins were more or less seriously injured. Dr Harrison has gone out io the scene of the accident, but has not yet returned. Pending his return details are not available.
