ALLEGED OVERPAID TAXES

1 WELLINGTON,,May 3.
At the Supreme Court to-day, the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Scout, heard a case in which Henry Gaistord seeks to recover from the Commissioner of Taxes a certain sum alleged to have been overpaid under . protest, as land tax, in respect of his interest in the Mount Herbert estate at Hawke's Bay. Judgment was reserved.
