AMUSEMENTS.
THOMPSON-PAYNE PJoTURES
The usual programme was presented at the Foresters' Hall last night, to a large audience. The dramatic subjects are a first-class lot, especially "Was Justice berved," a story of an ex convict whom misfortune follows, though trying to lead an honest life. "In the Window Recess" gives plenty of scop for thrilling dramatic work. "Bear Hunting in the Arctic," is a novel subject, showing as it does a party of hunters at their labours amid the icebound seas in the Far North. "The Devil Woman" is another dramatic picture which proved popular and.aroused great interest right up to the thrilling climax. The comic element was well supplied by "Too Credulous," "No Excitement," and "Calino's Fire Extinguisher." This series will be shown again this evening.
