FAREWELLED BY HIS TENANTS.

The tenants on the Hilmartin and Hartham estates n ade presentations to Baron Islington, in honour of his approaching departure to assume the Governorship of New Zealand.
In reply Lord Islington stated that his recent experiences in the West Indies and Canada had brought him into close connection with those Imperial problems with which.he would be so closely associated in the future. He would take an active share in strengthening the Imperial ties which New Zealanders were equally desirous of strengthening.
