SERGEANT MAGUIRE'S DEATH.
GRANT OF £SOO COMPENSATION.

WELLINGTON, May 2,
The Cabinet decided to-day to make a grant of £SOO compensation to the widow of the late Sergeant Maguirc, who was shot at Palroerston North during the Paweika hunt. This grant is in addition to the ordinary payment wliich Mrs Maguire will receive from the Police Superannuation Fund.
